SENSING THE PHYSICAL WORLD DIFFERENTLY
Different sensing mechanisms. One purpose: making difficult physical-world data economically practical to acquire.
Clip-On Sensing Platform
Acquire electrical and asset information without conventional invasive installation.
Passive Wireless SAW Platform
Battery-free wireless sensing in harsh environments, rotating machinery, and inaccessible locations. Available sensing modalities depend on the design.
CLIP-ON SENSING PLATFORM
Traditional electrical measurement can require physical connections, installation labor, planned outages or specialized equipment. SenSanna’s Clip-On Sensing Platform reduces those barriers by acquiring electrical information from installed infrastructure using a non-invasive architecture.
HOW IT WORKS
The differentiation is not simply the ability to measure electrical attributes. It is the practicality and economics of collecting them across more points in installed infrastructure.
LEGACY EQUIPMENT → SENSANNA CLIP-ON SENSOR → ELECTRICAL MEASUREMENT → COMMUNICATIONS → CUSTOMER ANALYTICS / CONTROLS / ASSET MANAGEMENT
What the platform can measure
Voltage • Current • Power • Load behavior • Operating trends • Other derived electrical measurements
Final available measurements depend on the particular asset, sensor configuration and application.
Why non-invasive measurement matters
Lower installation complexity • Retrofit existing infrastructure • Instrument more assets • Increase data resolution • Integrate with existing systems
FROM DATA TO DECISIONS
Turn electrical visibility into better operating decisions.
More measurement points help reveal how equipment uses energy, where capacity is available, and how performance changes over time. Use that visibility to improve operational efficiency and document progress.
BETTER DATA HELPS ANSWER:
Where can we reduce energy waste and improve operational efficiency?
Which assets have spare capacity, and which are approaching operating limits?
What changes in load or condition need attention before they disrupt operations?
Are operational changes delivering measurable improvements over time?
What measured energy-use data can support carbon-footprint estimates and reporting?
PASSIVE WIRELESS SAW TECHNOLOGY
Passive wireless sensing without batteries at the sensing point.
SenSanna uses surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology to make wireless measurements without batteries at the sensor. As a platform technology, SAW can be adapted to measure temperature, strain and other physical conditions, either directly or through connected sensing elements. Each sensor is designed for the measurement and environment it needs to support.
HOW SAW SENSING WORKS
A radio signal in. A measurement back.
A reader sends a radio-frequency (RF) signal to a passive sensor. The sensor returns a response that changes with the condition being measured — without a battery at the sensing point.
Passive SAW sensor
No sensor battery
The physical condition changes the sensor’s acoustic response, directly or through a connected sensing element.

APPLICATIONS ENGINEERING
SenSanna combines its own sensing platforms with complementary third-party products, communications and integration technology where appropriate. Customer-funded bespoke sensing development is an established capability, supporting practical measurement architectures rather than a separate sensing platform.
FROM MEASUREMENT PROBLEM TO PRACTICAL SOLUTION
Applications Engineering can lead to repeatable product configurations, OEM integration, evaluated deployments, or broader commercial applications when the measurement problem supports it.
SenSanna’s objective is not to force a predetermined product onto the customer. We apply our sensing platforms, complementary third-party technologies, and integration capabilities to develop the most practical measurement architecture for the application.
CAPABILITY
Radiation hard
Passive sensing for radiation-exposed environments where local electronics and battery maintenance are difficult.
Cryogenic temperatures
Measurement at extremely low temperatures, with sensor materials and packaging matched to the application.
1,000°C and beyond
High-temperature sensing for thermal protective systems and other extreme-heat applications.
High-voltage environments
Wireless measurement around energized equipment and power lines, reducing reliance on wired connections at the sensing point.
Operating range and environmental capability depend on sensor design, materials and packaging.
Technology for the next difficult sensing problem.
SenSanna technology can be deployed directly or incorporated into broader equipment and technology platforms through OEM integration, technology integration, joint development, commercial deployment and strategic relationships.
